Christina Bechhold Russ

Christina Bechhold Russ is a venture capitalist and angel investor.

Christina is the co-founder and Managing Director of Empire Angels, a New York based angel group of young professionals investing in early stage technology startups, with a focus on supporting Millennial entrepreneurs.

Christina is also a Principal at Samsung NEXT Ventures, focused on early stage investments in software and services particularly in mobility, consumer IoT and fintech. Christina is also a Regular Contributor for the Wall Street Journal on startups and small business, a columnist for, a mentor at The Brandery and Venture for America and a member of VFA’s Rise Committee focused on increasing diversity in entrepreneurship. Christina is a sought-after speaker and panelist at events in the U.S., Europe and Asia and, a TEDx speaker. She was recognised by About Time Magazine as one of the top 10 Female Tech Entrepreneurs to watch in 2019, and by the New York Business Journal as a 2016 Woman of Influence.
